By any means, what is your definition of mindfulness?

I'm new to yahoo! answers, but i'd like to add that my term for mindfulness is making decisions without much thought. We start off as youths in how we communication, our reflexes, or even a task as simple as washing dishes. Simple awareness without mental effort or execution.

I would say "mindfulness" is "paying attention". I think what you're referring to is "wu wei" or acting without intention. "Natural action", so to speak. Or "not doing". As if each act is complete, in and of itself, rather than a means to an end.
