Three of the best ways that I have used are, Deep Breathing Exercise, Meditation, and Hypnosis and/of Self-Hypnosis. The Deep Breathing is simple. Inhale deeply for a count of 6, hold for a count of 3, exhale for a count of 6, hold for a count of 3, repeat. You should do this for 3 to 5 minutes. This helps you relax and is just plain healthy for you. Meditation is a way of taking yourself to a relaxed state and relieves stress. Self-Hypnosis and Hypnosis helps you relax and also will change the way you deal with stress and how the stress effects you. The pros to all of these are that they are natural and anyone can learn to do them. The con to them is that it takes self discipline to apply them to everyday life. You may need to get help in learning self-hypnosis but it is worth it. The rationale to these 3 methods is that I not only use them with great results but I teach them to other people with great results also. I am a Hypnotherapist. One other way many of my clients use to deal with stress is Yoga. I can't comment a lot on this as I don't use it but anyone I deal with who does says it works good. Hope this helps.
