Do you think she got what she deserved?

Question by _ on "Feng Shui":

My troubled mother in law went all "Feng Shui" nuts and spent entire pay checks attempting to give her house peace and harmony. Impossible if you ask me. Her house is so unlivable that even she says, "I won't fix my house as I live in it. I don't want to be there." She literally escapes from the house on a daily basis, works more than she has to, goes out with her boyfriend in any spare time and does not go home unless it's to sleep. Anyways, she claimed Feng Shui worked for her. I don't know how she has "peace and harmony" if she says she can't even go home, but she said she's rich now (claimed to make 60G a year, now I hear she's making 25 G). She said how she loves her job, but now I hear that she hates it because she works in this dumpy office that has an awful smell, dirty carpets, and nasty patients. She choose her path, is this just what she deserves? All of the comments came straight from her mouth! She went off so many times on how good her life is, how it changed so much, but now we still hear how she's living like a homeless person because she hates her house so badly. She doesn't even stay home enough to shower or properly care for her children. That's another story though. If someone lies to you to make you feel like you're inferior, are they getting what they deserve when you find out they don't have it as good as they claim?
