Feng Shui":
Hello, I have a question about Feng Shui that may sound a little stupid, but I cannot find an answer online for the life of me. When trying to find the direction/corner of an element in your home are you looking only at the actual magnetic direction? Please take a look at this chart, http://www.drstandley.com/images/fengShui.gif . Now is this chart "per room" so to speak or speaks for the whole house? Say you have a one bedroom apartment. The entry is at the north, to the east is the bathrom, to the west is the kitchen and to the south is the bedroom. Standing in the bedroom would you still apply all 5 of the elements in each direction of the bedroom OR would you only apply the "bedroom feng shui" plus the corresponding directions such as South, Southeast and Southwest that were originally taken from the center of the house? Does that make sense? I think I just made myself so much more confused! Please help!

When you use the bagua to find the different sections of the room (wealth, career, family, etc) you align the chart so that the door of that home or room is at the bottom of the chart. What I have seen is that you can have a room in the career section of the house, but in that room you have another bagua with all 9 areas represented there as well. So if you have your desk in your career located room, and in the career corner of that room...you are supposed to set the tone for a great career. Then follow the placement suggestion as far as which way the desk sits in the room (you want it in a power position where you can see the door as you are seated at the desk. You also don't want the desk to be in the immediate path as you walk in, nor do you want it to catch energy flowing in without a break. This would promote unease when you are seated there because it would be like parking on the on-ramp in terms of chi. Tension, distraction, overwhelm if you are too close to the door.
