Is mindfulness (awareness meditation) and phenomenology the same thing ?

They aren't the same - mindfulness is really paying attention to what you are doing, living each moment deeply and losing yourself in it. Phenomenology, which has three slightly different meanings depending on the philosopher, is more like using phenomena or our perception of experience to understand the supreme ideas behind those experiences.
